A 4x4 tent is the sweet spot for a first serious grow — big enough for real harvests, small enough to manage. Here's how to set it up right the first time.
1. Light first. Everything else serves the light. For a 4x4 you want 480-650 watts of quality LED, hung so you can raise it as plants stretch. Buy once.
2. Ventilation isn't optional. A 6-inch inline fan with a carbon filter handles heat, humidity, and smell in one shot. Exhaust out the top; passive intake from the bottom does the rest.
3. Environment beats nutrients. Aim for 75-80F lights on, 65-70F off, 50-60% humidity in veg dropping to 40-50% in flower. A thermometer/hygrometer at canopy level is the best money you'll spend.
4. Start with 4 plants. Four 5-gallon pots fill a 4x4 perfectly. More plants doesn't mean more harvest — it means more problems.
We stock complete tent packages and every piece separately. Come see them running in the Peabody shop before you buy.
