Nutrient charts look intimidating until you know what you're looking at. Here's the plain-English version.
Start at half strength. Every chart assumes a perfect environment. Your tent isn't a lab — begin at 50% of the recommended dose, watch your plants for a week, then work up. You can always add more; you can't un-burn a plant.
Follow the weeks, not the calendar. "Week 3 of flower" means three weeks after you flipped to 12/12, not three weeks after you bought the bottle. Write your flip date on the tent with a dry-erase marker.
EC tells you the strength, pH tells you the availability. Mix your nutrients, then check EC, then pH last — nutrients swing pH as they dissolve. Soil: 6.0-6.8. Coco/hydro: 5.5-6.5.
Less is more with additives. Base nutrients do 90% of the work. Run the base line clean for a full cycle before stacking boosters — that way you know what actually moved the needle.
